Fansided: Suns 121, Jazz 107

James Piercey writes: "If you’ve read this far, it’s probably pretty obvious how this is going to go. The Suns will be missing some key rotation players. Star big man Deandre Ayton and former Utah Jazz favorite Jae Crowder will both be absent. Nonetheless, their star backcourt of Chris Paul and Devin Booker remains in tact. With neither Gobert or Whiteside available, the Suns will look to control the interior with Javale McGee in the middle. If Utah’s small-ball formation flummoxes the Suns, they’ve got the versatility to counter. Cam Johnson can move up to the 5 as easily as Mikal Bridges can move up to the 4. All of which are secondary considerations. The Suns will have star players tonight, and the Jazz will not. Look for Phoenix to make short work of a depleted Jazz group tonight."

Winners and Whiners: Take the Suns in game vs. Jazz

Chris King writes: "These teams will meet again on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City and that’s going to make for an interesting clash since there will be plenty of familiarity for these teams. Utah is going to be battling fatigue with playing the second game of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights in their third different city coming into this one. It’s tough enough to deal with the Suns on even footing with rest and if your team is healthy. The Jazz are going to be battling fatigue and they are potentially minus Mitchell, who is their leading scorer, and they have other injury issues. Give the advantage to Phoenix in this contest."

Sports Betting Dime: Take the under in Suns vs. Jazz game

Chris Amberley writes: "Each of Utah’s latest two contests minus Mitchell have failed to hit the total, while the under has hit in 26 of their 46 games overall. Offense will be tough to come by on Monday, as Phoenix ranks second in defensive rating, and fourth in scoring defense. The Suns’ defensive prowess has led to the bulk of their games falling short of the number, especially recently. The under has hit in five of their last six, and eight of their past 12 outings. With Utah missing its leading scorer, and Phoenix missing two starters and a key rotation piece, this game has a strong chance to underwhelm in the boxscore. While the Arizona bettors public may be tempted to take the Suns, take the under."

Stat Salt: Take the Jazz to beat the Suns

Jason Raffoul writes: "The Jazz are in action Sunday night and will be on the second night of a back to back with this matchup against the Suns. Rudy Gobert has been on a tear over the last week. He went 8 of 11 from both the field and the free-throw line on his way to setting a new season-high in scoring in his last game against the Detroit Pistons. The Suns are not expected to have Deandre Ayton for this game, so expect another spot start for Bismack Biyombo. For that reason, the Jazz have the distinct advantage on the inside with Gobert making quick work of Biyombo. Utah is 12-4 in their last 16 games facing Western Conference foes. Take Utah to win here."

Picks and Parlays: Suns 107, Jazz 102

It writes: "Phoenix will pick up its 37th victory of the season on Monday against Utah, but the play here is UNDER. The UNDER has cashed in four of Utah's last five as well as in four of Phoenix's last five. Utah is holding opponents to an average of 107.4 points per game and 44.8% shooting which is 12th and 11th respectively. At the same time, Phoenix is fifth in the NBA in points allowed at 104.5 points per game and second in field-goal percentage allowed at 43.6%"

Sports Chat Place: Go with the Suns vs. Jazz

Peter Tran writes: "The Jazz will again be without Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert and Bojan Bogdanovic are listed as day to day, so the Jazz will be shorthanded once again, while the Suns will be without Abdel Nader, Cameron Payne and Jae Crowder while DeAndre Ayton is listed as doubtful. The Jazz are mired in their worst slump of the season as they’ve struggled in absence of Mitchell and they might still be kicking themselves after coming up just short to the Warriors last night. The Suns have been hit by injuries just like most other teams, but they haven’t allowed it to slow them down, not even when Booker shoots five of 23 from the field like he did in the win over the Pacers on Saturday. The line is a little hefty, but I like the Suns to take full advantage of the depleted Jazz."

Doc's Sports: Take the Suns against the Jazz

Guy Bruhn writes: "The Phoenix defense gives up 32.7% on shots from distance (502 of 1,537) and opponents are knocking down 74.6% of their free throw shots. They surrender 22.4 dimes and 45.5 boards per game, which is 3rd and 20th in the league. The Suns on defense are ranked 5th in basketball in PPG given up with 104.5. They are forcing 15.2 TO's per game and allow teams to shoot 43.6% from the floor (2nd in basketball)."
