Utility companies in Central Florida continue work to restore power

The lights are coming back on for even more Central Florida residents.


Hundreds of thousands of people were left without power right after Hurricane Ian hit last week.

As of 6 a.m., there are no Orlando Utilities Commission customers without power.

Meantime, Duke Energy is working to restore power to more than 400 local customers.

There are around 700 Florida Power and Light customers in Central Florida without power.

Kissimmee Utility Authority reports that it has more than 1,000 customers still in the dark.
