UWGB partners with The Gateway Collective to study City Center Lofts project

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay partnered with The Gateway Collective nonprofit to study the City Center Lofts project.

Officials say they’re hoping students can provide insight by looking at the project’s performance, attracting tenants, and engaging with donors.

The collaboration started last fall as a way for an entire project and nonprofit management class to do research, and organizers say it’s paying off.

“It gives our students a chance to learn in a different way,” said Lora Warner, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. “It was very interesting to see the students start out. They’re taking introductory kinds of courses, but the kinds of things they can learn with this kind of project are much deeper and lasting.”

Warner continued to tell Local 5 News she hopes the school can continue with more hands-on experiences all around the Greater Green Bay area.
