·1 min read

A new megasite will be dolling out doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in Wayne beginning Saturday.

The state Department of Health will open the facility in the former Macy's at the Preakness Shopping Center in coordination with Passaic County, St. Joseph's University Medical Center and the state police.

Residents statewide can make appointments for vaccination at the new location on St. Joseph's website by clicking here or at https://doctors.stjosephshealth.org/book/2103163, or arrive at the site for a walk-in appointment.

The site, located at 1210 Hamburg Turnpike, will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Those seeking a vaccine should bring a photo ID; an insurance card if they have one and a CDC-issued proof of vaccination card, if this is not their first dose.
