Vaccines, boosters offered at job center starting Tuesday

Nov. 29—JANESVILLE — Vaccine booster shots are now available for all adults at the community-based vaccination clinic now at the Rock County Job Center, 1900 Center Ave.

Boosters are recommended six months after the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or two months after the initial dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

All three vaccines will be available at the clinic. Patients can mix and match boosters, meaning they do not need to receive the same vaccine brand as their original dose, according to the release.

Clinic hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays starting Tuesday, Nov. 30, through the end of the year. The clinic will close Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1, 2022.

Children can also get vaccinated at the clinic but must be accompanied by an adult.

All vaccines are free. No insurance or documentation is needed, according to the release.

Walk-ins are welcomed. Registration is recommended by visiting vaccinate.wi.gov.
