Valentine’s Day deals: These food brands are helping heartache with pizza, dumplings, shakes and more
Whether you’re feeling the love or experiencing heartbreak, food is here for you this Valentine’s Day.
If you’re hoping to share an easy meal with your significant other but don’t want to deal with the hassle of making a reservation at a fancy restaurant, or if you’re single and looking for comfort food on the day of love, there are plenty of chain restaurants offering hearty food for good deals.
Chick-fil-A
Give your significant other what they want this Valentine’s Day on a heart-shaped platter.
Chick-fil-A is offering “heart-shaped trays” filled with select menu items for the occasion. The trays can be stuffed with 30 Chick-fil-A nuggets, 10 Chick-n-Minis, 6 chocolate chunk cookies or 12 chocolate fudge brownie halves.
The trays will be available at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants and through delivery where available. To see which locations have the love-filled chicken, contact your local Chick-fil-A restaurant or use the Chick-fil-A app.
P.F. Chang’s
If you’ve been dumped, P.F. Chang’s wants to provide you with some love and comfort.
The restaurant chain is offering six free “DUMPlings” to anyone who has been recently dumped.
To receive the free shrimp or pork dumplings, newly single people must text CHANGSDUMPLINGS to 855-697-6181 with their breakup story or a screenshot of the breakup text — “because your heartbreak is at least worth a free appetizer.”
The promo can be used in the restaurant or via delivery from now through National Breakup Day on Feb. 21.
Pizza Hut
Need to break up with someone but don’t know how to do it? Pizza Hut has you covered.
Pizza Hut will “deliver spicy news in a sweet way” with its limited-edition hot honey “goodbye pies.” And don’t worry, you won’t have to spend a dime on your soon-to-be ex.
You can request to send a goodbye pie for free at GoodbyePies.com. If the option isn’t available in your city or if the breakup pizzas are sold out, Pizza Hut can write a breakup text for you to send, along with a link to a gift card for the newly single person to redeem a free hot honey pizza.
Sonic
Does he love you? If so, he’ll be sure to take you to Sonic for Reba’s Sweetheart Meal — a partnership between Reba McEntire and her longtime favorite fast food chain.
The meal features the Queen of Country’s signature order of a Sonic cheeseburger with everything on it, Sonic’s famous tots and the new chocolate-covered strawberry shake.
The new shake boasts real strawberries and rich chocolate flakes mixed into vanilla soft serve, topped with chocolate whipped cream, even more chocolate flakes and a cherry.
Reba’s Sweetheart Meal will be available at locations nationwide through March 3.
Panera Bread
Starting on Feb. 14, for a limited time, couples dining at Panera Bread can couple up their food at a discount.
MyPanera members will get 20% off Panera’s You Pick Two menu, including the restaurant’s new sourdough melts, the bacon avocado melt and the Southwest chicken melt.
Popeyes
You and a loved one can enjoy Popeyes’ limited-edition heart-shaped strawberry biscuits this Valentine’s Day.
The sweet treat will be available through Feb. 25, but on Valentine’s Day, $1 from each heart-shaped biscuit purchase will benefit the Popeyes Foundation’s Serving With Love initiative, which supports nonprofits that provide food to people in need.
The heart-shaped biscuit (starting at $1.79 each) is a take on Popeyes’ signature biscuit — with a strawberry twist.
Jimmy John’s
Jimmy John’s is introducing a new item to its red velvet dessert collection in time for Valentine’s Day: the red velvet brownie. The sandwich shop is also bringing back the limited-edition red velvet cookie.
Both red velvet desserts, made with dark brown sugar, cocoa powder and white chocolate chips, are the perfect hue to match Valentine’s Day vibes.
The offerings are available at participating locations nationwide during February, though pricing varies by location. New Yorkers will be able to get their treat for $2.60.
GLACE
New York City-based ice cream shop GLACE is offering up a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day, collaborating with Britney Spears.
The 42-year-old pop icon partnered with one of her favorite NYC spots to create the Britney Brûlée — a twist on Glace’s viral s’mores hot chocolate. It’s also the first espresso creation at the store.
According to Glace’s Instagram, the drink is a blend of hot chocolate and espresso, the cup is piped with their signature toasted marshmallow fluff rim, topped with a scoop of chantilly cream, and “garnished with a caramelized sugar disk monogrammed in mocha dust with a B for Britney.”
A portion of the proceeds from each sale will benefit The Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ+ youth.
Kentucky Fried Chicken
KFC is offering finger lickin’ good deals for Valentine’s Day — including a BOGO deal for their new menu item, the Smash’d Potato Bowls. Couples can snag this 2-for-1 deal on the KFC app or KFC.com.
The fast-food restaurant chain also introduced a spread with all the fan favorite items in one — perfect for sharing with your significant other.
The new $20 Taste of KFC Meal comes with six pieces of fried chicken plus four sides – mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh coleslaw, corn, rich and creamy cheddar mac & cheese – and four biscuits.
Potbelly
Potbelly’s Red Velvet Cookie is back for a limited time, and Perks Members can get one for free on Valentine’s Day.
With the purchase of any entrée, members can get a complimentary cookie for their sweetie by ordering on Potbelly.com, the Potbelly App or in-shop with a scan.
