Valentine’s Day fire consumes Bonifay barn

BONIFAY, Fla (WDHN) — Firefighters in Bonifay rushed to the scene of a barn fire on Valentine’s Day.

At around 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, someone driving down Highway 177A in Bonifay saw a barn on fire and reported it to Bonifay Fire-Rescue.

According to Bonifay Fire-Rescue, when firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a barn engulfed in flames and the woodline behind the barn beginning to catch fire.

Firefighters requested assistance from departments in the towns of Pittman, Esto, and Gritney.

Officials say the fire was under control within 13 minutes of the original call, but the barn was deemed a total loss.
