Valentine’s Day preparations are in full bloom at Lynchburg’s flower shop

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Valentine’s Day is in full bloom and flower shops are getting ready for one of the busiest times of the year including Hill City’s very own The Hip Tulip.

The owner, Kelly Willis says business has been going well so far this year, and for Valentine’s Day, she has been booked with orders.

“We had a lot of pre-orders, but there is always the last-minute crowd that rushes in, so we will have a decent amount of that as well,” said Willis.

The new shop is located on Main Street and has roses, tulips, and more. However, they are known for their wildflowers.

A report from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol said that around 90% of roses and fresh-cut flowers sold for Valentine’s Day in the United States come through Miami.

The Hip Tulip assembles unique bouquets and offers prom corsages, flowers for weddings, special occasions, and more.
