For years, the late Mansfield Municipal Court Judge Frank Ardis performed weddings in his courtroom on Feb. 14.

Badnell is planning to officiate weddings on Valentine's Day in his courtroom for anyone wanting to tie the knot.

Ardis always said it was his favorite day of the year in the courtroom when people are all happy and glad to be there.

Badnell, elected in November to the bench, cares about his community, Michelle Snyder, his administrative assistant said Friday. "He's happy to be involved in something positive," she added.

Couples need to bring their marriage licenses to Courtroom 3 in the Mansfield Administration Building, 30 N. Diamond St. Friends and family are welcome.

Brides and grooms may also bring rings if they have them, she said.

For more information, contact Snyder at 419-755-9615.
