Valerie Bertinelli Issues a Mass Apology After a Mix-Up With Her New Book

Valerie Bertinelli wants to let fans know that she's sorry for a recent mix-up.

On January 18, the award-winning actress and Food Network star released her memoir, Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today. Only a week after it hit bookshelves, Valerie was excited about the positive response from fans. But she couldn't fully celebrate knowing that not everyone had the experience they were hoping for. After hearing that several readers didn't receive copies with her signature, the Valerie's Home Cooking star took to Instagram to apologize for the confusion and offered answers.

“You guys have all been so amazing and supportive. I can’t thank you enough," she said on Instagram. "I did read, however, that some people are a little upset that they did not get signed copies when they thought they were ordering them from Amazon. It is from Books a Million ... and Barnes and Noble ... I’m so sorry for the misunderstanding. But hopefully if you still want a signed copy, you can get them there.”

After addressing the misunderstanding on her Instagram Stories, Valerie posted the public service announcement on her Instagram feed, where it could live permanently in case there were folks who missed it. As unfortunate as it was for certain fans to experience this, many were just as appreciative of Valerie's sincerity and kindness. Lots took to the new Instagram comments section to share their thoughts with the TV personality.

"Wish there were more people like you on this earth!" one person wrote. "Aww yes! I'm bummed I was one of those Amazon pre order thinking my copy was going to be signed 😩. But was still excited to get your book 😄," another added. "Looks like I’m getting another copy of your book, this time signed (I hope). 🙏🏻 Congratulations to you Valerie!" a different fan commented.

Others took the opportunity to express their gratitude with Valerie for sharing her story and being vulnerable. "I am absolutely loving the book! It is so insightful and genuine. You are beautiful inside and out. [You're] an inspiration to so many women. ❤️ Thank you for being truthful to you."

In case you haven't gotten you hands on Valerie's memoir yet — signed copies are still available at Barnes and Noble and Books a MillionEnough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today details the her rise to fame, her journey to body confidence, her family and her marriage to the late Eddie Van Halen.

Speaking on the Rachael Ray Show, Valerie revealed why she wrote a candid memoir about her life. "When we let it out, when we can be vulnerable — like Brene Brown says —there is strength and there is power in radical vulnerability," she told host Rachael Ray. "I have noticed the more vulnerable I've gotten — the more real, the more honest — the more at peace I feel."
