Van Driver Remonstrates With Insulate Britain Protesters Blocking Motorway

A group campaigning for housing insulation in the UK caused traffic disruption for a seventh time on September 29, as they blocked a roundabout on the M25 motorway outside London.

Footage sent to Storyful shows the protesters sitting on the road while a motorist shouts at them.

“People could be stuck in an ambulance on the way to hospital and you’re stopping them all. Do you have any idea of the damage you’ve caused,” the motorist says.

Wednesday’s protest meant that the group had broken a High Court injunction granted last week for a second time.

Kent Police said that they reopened the roundabout following the arrest of 11 people.

In a statement, Insulate Britain said they were going nowhere.

“You can raid our savings. You can confiscate our property. You can deny us our liberty and put us behind bars. But shooting the messenger can never destroy the message: that this country is going to hell unless you take emergency action to stop putting carbon into the air. Boris get on with the job,” the group said. Credit: Insulate Britain via Storyful
