Vanderbilt baseball pitcher Colton Regen leaves game vs. Tennessee with injury

Vanderbilt baseball pitcher Colton Regen left Saturday's game against Tennessee with an apparent injury.

Regen, a redshirt freshman, spiked a pitch in the fifth inning and appeared to favor his arm. He called for the trainer and promptly left the game without attempting a warm-up pitch.

The Commodores have been ravaged by injuries this season. Saturday starter Hunter Owen missed his second straight start this week and his replacement, Bryce Cunningham, couldn't get out of the first inning. Grayson Moore and Andrew Dutkanych have also been out with injuries since prior to the start of SEC play, and Greysen Carter also missed time with soreness after appearing to hurt his arm in a game against South Carolina.
