The SEC announced kickoff times for the first three football games of the 2022 season Thursday.
Vanderbilt football is slated to play Hawaii at 9:30 p.m. CT on Aug. 27 on CBS Sports Network, Elon at 6 p.m. on Sept. 3 on SEC Network+ and ESPN+ and Wake Forest at 11 a.m. on Sept. 10 on SEC Network.
It’s a tough nonconference schedule for Vanderbilt, though opening with Hawaii will allow the Commodores to have an extra bye week. Wake Forest went 11-3 last season and won the Gator Bowl.
The Commodores also play 2021 Mid-American Conference champion Northern Illinois on the road on Sept. 17 (2:30 p.m.) and Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, Kentucky, Florida and Tennessee in the eight-game conference schedule.
Vanderbilt finished 2-10 last with, including an 0-8 mark in the SEC in Clark Lea's first season.
