Vanderbilt football vs. Kentucky: Our final score predictions are in.

Vanderbilt football is on the road to face Kentucky on Saturday.

The Commodores suffered a 38-27 loss to South Carolina last week, and are looking to snap a five-game win streak with a win over the Wildcats. Defeating Kentucky will also give Vanderbilt its first conference win of the season.

However, Vanderbilt will likely play without quarterback AJ Swann and Mike Wright is expected to start.

Kentucky, on the other hand, will look to keep momentum going against the Commodores.

Here's what our experts had to say about the matchup.

Aria Gerson, Vanderbilt beat reporter

Kentucky 30, Vanderbilt 17: Depleted personnel on offense combined with the cold weather will make it difficult for the Commodores to score.

Gentry Estes, sports columnist

Kentucky 31, Vanderbilt 17: The Wildcats have been limping along for a while now, but I think they’ll get this one.

Blake Toppmeyer, SEC columnist

Kentucky 24, Vanderbilt 14: Will Levis might make a fine NFL quarterback, but Kentucky’s offense is just not good. The Wildcats have not scored more than 27 points against any SEC opponent. But Vanderbilt’s offense has struggled against the better defenses it has faced – Georgia, Missouri and Alabama – and the Wildcats’ defensive effort should be enough to escape victorious.

John Adams, senior sports columnist

Kentucky 37, Vanderbilt 20: If you’re looking for combined SEC losing streaks in November, Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt usually has been the most likely possibility.

For example, take the 2001 season when both teams finished 2-9. Kentucky had lost six consecutive games and Vanderbilt had lost five consecutive SEC games when they met in Nashville.

The game didn’t live up to expectations, though. Vanderbilt did its part, but Kentucky proved way too competent in winning 56-20.

Don’t expect a close game this time, either, as the Commodores extend their SEC losing streak to 27 games.
