Watch: Vanessa Feltz praises King Charles over Prince Andrew decision
Vanessa Feltz has defended Prince Andrew after the royal wore his military uniform at the vigil of his mother, the Queen.
The Duke of York was stripped of his honorary military appointments when he stepped down from being an active member of the Royal Family in 2019.
As a result of him wearing formal military dress, there was speculation that Andrew would be returning to royal duties under his brother King Charles III.

But broadcaster Vanessa Feltz defended Andrew on This Morning, saying: "Well that just shows two things, one it shows that the King [Charles] is a compassionate person."
She went on: "I don’t think he needs to be punished at that moment at his mother’s funeral and the funeral proceedings.
"I think the other thing it shows is just how much tittle tattle there is, and how much nonsensical reporting there is, and how many people pretend to know what’s going on behind the scenes of everything and have absolutely no idea."
Her view was criticised by Matthew Wright who was appearing on This Morning with her.
Wright brought up the allegations that he sexually abused Virginia Giuffre and said: "He’s done some fairly horrendous crimes Vanessa. The compassion surely falls to the victims, that’s all I’m saying."
Giuffre has alleged that she was trafficked by convicted sex trafficker and Andrew's friend Jeffrey Epstein when she was a teenager.
Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing and came to an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre earlier this year.
As part of the settlement, it is believed Andrew paid her several million pounds.
Giuffre has also alleged that she was instructed to have sex with prominent lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who once represented Epstein and others such as Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.
