Vanessa Feltz's daughter Allegra Kurer has said she received "threatening" messages on Christmas Day revealing that her mum's partner was cheating on her.

The 60-year-old presenter announced her split from Ben Ofoedu earlier this month, bringing their 16-year engagement to an end amid support from her showbiz pals.

Allegra — Feltz's 37-year-old daughter with ex-husband Michael Kurer — has now told The Sun that evidence of Ofoedu's infidelity arrived at the worst possible time for the family.

She said: "It was on Christmas Day, of all days. We were all together as a family, but Ben was away in pantomime, when the messages appeared via Instagram.

“Until that moment we were having a really lovely time, the children were having a lovely time, so for us to just receive that via a social media account was the most dreadful shock."

Allegra said the messages, sent anonymously by someone claiming to be Ofoedu's lover, were "vile, abusive [and] extremely upsetting", targeting Feltz.

She added: "There was no name or identity attached, but sadly there was enough information in the messages to know that what was being said about Ben was true — alongside all the vitriol.

"The only way to find out what was going on was to get the police involved, which is not a situation I ever expected to be in for myself or my family. Let’s hope they do something about it."

Feltz met singer Ofoedu — a member of 1990s dance group Phats & Small — in 2005 following her divorce from husband Kurer, with whom she has daughters Allegra and Saskia.

The star announced her split from Ofoedu last week on Instagram, with the agony aunt revealing she had decided to do what she would advise anybody else to do in her position.

She added: "I am very very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way and I want to celebrate and find fun and laughter anywhere I can."

Allegra thanked fans for the "incredible outpouring of support" and said: "[Feltz] is so strong and she is so brave — she’s trying to use this experience to help other people and all the while she is hurting so much herself, and still finding out more and more awful details."
