Vanita's six favourite beauty buys

  1. Nourishing Brow Oil, £22, BBBLondon: This was one of the first products I created to make caring for brows easy. I roll it across the brows and temples before sleeping.

  2. Supreme Skin Face Serum, £67, Mauli Rituals: I love this brand because it combines Indian ingredients in a luxe way. The rose and sandalwood in this super-light serum transport me back to India.

  3. Cleansing Oil – Rose Geranium and Apricot, £45, Votary: Oil cleansers have been game changer as they’re not so drying, and Votary is a brand that focuses on ingredients that feed the skin.

  4. Icon Day Smartsome A2X503 Day Cream with SPF20, £92, Sarah Chapman: Almost everything you need in a moisturiser, including vitamin C, but is also light while working hard to protect my skin.

  5. Velvet Story Lip Cream, £35, Hourglass: This is a cross between a lipstick, gloss and powder. A soft finish but in colours that add a strong tint and a lovely moisturising feel to the lips.

  6. Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, £28, Paula’s Choice: The salicylic acid in this liquid exfoliator works by breaking down any bacteria on the skin, and leaves it feeling smoother and more even.

Vanita’s top tip

Treat brows as you would your hair. Rub a light oil gently into them at night to soften and add shine. As we age, they become sparse and dry, so a daily routine is key.
