‘We’ve got trouble’: Tulare County Office of Education performs beloved ‘The Music Man’
The Tulare County Office of Education Theatre Company's production of "The Music Man" opens Friday, July 22 at L.J. Williams Theater on the campus of Redwood High School in Visalia.
Other production days are July 23 and July 28-30.
The Tony Award-winning "The Music Man," which debuted on Broadway in 1957 and was adapted into a hit 1962 Oscar-nominated film, tells the story of a fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize.
His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen.
