Vegan food chain is opening a second spot in Sacramento area. What we know

A Bay Area-based vegan restaurant chain is opening its second location in Sacramento.

Raw Superfoods Cafe will open a new location at the Howe ‘Bout Arden shopping center, 2100 Arden Way in in Arden Arcade, the Sacramento Business Journal reported Dec. 10, and planning to take over a 1,307-square-foot space.

In 2022, the chain opened its first cafe in the Sacramento area, this one in Elk Grove, The Sacramento Bee previously reported.

The Howe’Bout Arden Center offers more than 20 shopping and dining options. Tenants include California Fish Grill, Nordstrom Rack, HomeGoods, Ulta, Jamba Juice and Pinkberry.

There was no scheduled opening date for Raw Superfoods Cafe in Arden Arcade, as of Mondayafternoon.

What is Raw Superfood Cafe?

Quan Nguyen and Catherine Trinh, the co-owners of Raw Superfood Cafe, opened the first location in Milipitas in 2018.

According to its website, the restaurant chain specializes in “100% plant-based, all-natural burgers, acai bowls, smoothies and adaptogenic lattes.”

Now, the cafe is getting ready to open its fifth location in Arden Arcade.

What’s on the menu?

Drink offerings at Raw Superfood Cafe, which range in price from $6 to $9, include a Green Goddess mango-based smoothies, cold brew coffee and a lavender matcha latte.

Vegan food items cost $4 to $15.

The menu includes items such as a bánh mì sandwich made with Beyond meat, avocado toast and a chipotle mushroom burger.
