Vegan soul food restaurant opens new location in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -Vegan restaurant H.O.M.E (House of Mental Eatery) recently opened their new location on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.

The restaurant earned it’s claim to fame from being known as one of the only Black-owned vegan soul food restaurants in the area. Some of its staple dishes include cauliflower fried wings, yams, vegan mac and cheese and more.

The restaurant also features a library that displays holistic solutions to combat the many diseases that plague the African American community.

Restaurant owner Elnora Wesley said they are also a partnering with Arkansas Baptist College and will use its resources to educate the next generation of leaders on how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

She said the restaurant is bigger than just being vegan, it is about knowing who you are and how to best take care of yourself to live a long healthy life.
