Vehicle drives into SLO County creek, resulting in ‘shallow water rescue’

A vehicle drove into a San Luis Obispo County creek Wednesday morning, resulting in a “shallow water rescue,” according to Cal Fire.

The vehicle landed in the creek near Huasna Road and Alisos Road, the agency said via Twitter on Wednesday.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, all four occupants were out of the vehicle, according to Cal Fire spokesperson Toni Davis.

One of the vehicle’s occupants was on the other side of the creek with moderate injuries, Davis said.

Firefighters initiated a “shallow water rescue,” and carried the person across the creek, she said.

The rescue took about an hour, according to Davis.

When firefighters left the scene, a tow truck was called to pull the vehicle out of the water, Davis said.
