Vehicles Unable to Pass Flooded Boston Street

Severe storms in the US northeast brought hail and flash-flooding to parts of Boston, Massachusetts, on Sunday, June 28, reports said.

The National Weather Service’s Boston office issued a flash-flood warning for Boston, Winthrop, Brookline, and the surrounding areas on Sunday, and warned of “strong winds, large hail and localized flooding.”

Videos filmed by local resident Greg Herrmann show a section of Strathmore Road under several inches of water. Several vehicles were forced to back up and a handful of neighbors came out to try to unblock the street’s sewer drains before the fire department arrived, the videos show.
