Velvet's Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival returns for Memorial Day weekend 2022
Following a two-year hiatus for the COVID-19 pandemic, Velvet's Ice Cream Festival is returning this spring near Utica.
The Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival at Ye Olde Mill will be held May 28-30. The festival, which began in 1975, draws nearly 50,000 visitors to the Mill.
The 2022 Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival will include live music all weekend long; over 90 artisan vendors from all over the state; activities and contests like the egg toss, kiddie tractor pulls, pony rides and magic shows each day; festival food including funnel cakes, gyros, snow cones, pizza and of course, all the ice cream you can eat.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Utica Sertoma group, a non-profit service club that sponsors hearing aids, speech & hearing at Utica and Northridge High Schools, Little League Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball, the local Fire Department, Utica EMS and other local organizations.
