Venezuela's Guaido says he will return home on Monday to lead protests

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido said he would return to Venezuela on Monday to lead new protests against President Nicolas Maduro, running the risk that authorities arrest him given he flouted a travel ban to leave the country last week. Guaido, who is recognized as Venezuela's legitimate head of state by most Western countries, said during a broadcast on Twitter on Sunday it would be a "historic challenge" to return. "If the regime dares, of course, to kidnap us, it will be the last mistake they make," he said, without indicating where he was speaking from.
