Comment: The junior center forward helped Agoura win two league matches last week to remain unbeaten. He netted two goals in a 2-1 win over Oaks Christian last Tuesday and had a goal in a 3-0 victory over Westlake on Friday. Sosa has six goals overall for the Chargers, who are 6-0-4 overall and 2-0-1 in the Marmonte League. His brother Brando, a senior, has scored seven goals this season.
KIANA KELLNER
School: Ventura
Year: Junior
Sport: Water polo
Comment: The junior goalie earned MVP honors after leading the Cougars to the Oxnard Tournament title last weekend. On Saturday, she posted a shutout in an 11-0 victory over Moorpark. In a 10-2 win over El Dorado, Kellner had eight blocks and also scored a goal. In a 12-8 victory over Notre Dame-Sherman Oaks, she finished with nine blocks and nine forced misses. Ventura, which improved 17-4-1 on the season, beat Santa Paula 17-1 and Marymount 13-3 on Friday.
