Vermont City Marathon: Watch for road closures, delays and parking changes

As the 2022 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon and Relay returns for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, Burlington drivers should expect road closures and delays this Memorial Day weekend.

The second-largest marathon in New England will take shape on Sunday, May 29, in a different course than years past. Instead of the 26.2-mile-long course, athletes will complete two laps of 13.1 miles each. Drivers should expect road closures throughout the entire course on Sunday morning.

In addition to road closures, the Burlington bike path will be closed for the race from Dale Road off of Leddy Park to South Cove Road off of Oakledge Park.
