Vermont Elections: What to know about polling locations

Voting in-person this year? Here's everything you need to know about going to the polls in Vermont.

You can find polling locations on the Vermont Secretary of State website via the Voter Information webpage, the Vermont Polling Location Information webpage or the My Voter Page. However, as polling locations may be different depending on the election, you should contact the city or town clerk for confirmation.

All Vermont polls open between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Only first-time voters in Vermont who registered through the mail or online need to bring ID.

Each polling location will have a checklist with the names and addresses of registered voters. If your name is not on the voter registration list, you can fill out another registration form and still vote as Vermont allows you to register the day of the election. You can check your registration status through the My Voter Page.

If for whatever reason you can't make it to the polls on Election Day, you can request an early voter absentee ballot as soon as ballots are available.
