Note: After trading goals throughout the second and third periods, the Eagles tied the game at the 9:41 mark of the final frame. A scoreless 5-minute OT sent the contest into shootouts where the Catamounts (20-10-3, 17-7-2) won decisively. McPherson made two saves and Cam Morrissey and Schafzahl netted goals. The win secured the two-seed, the best-ever finish, in the Hockey East tournament for Vermont. The quarterfinals of the Hockey East tournament are slated to begin on Feb. 26.
