Note: Vermont (19-10-1, 14-8-1) scored three goals over a seven-minute sequence that spanned the first and second periods. UVM dominated shots 50-38 and had just one power-play goal. The win was No. 300 of 11-year coach Jim Plumer's career. The Catamounts host New Hampshire next on Friday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m.

Note: Vermont shot 60.7% from the field (34 of 56), sank 13 3s and handed out 21 assists to rout Albany for its fifth straight victory, improving to 13-10 overall and a league-leading 7-2 in America East. The 87 points are the most UVM has scored against Albany since the teams' second-ever meeting, a 100-73 result in Nov. 2000. ... UVM plays at Maine on Wednesday.

Providence tallied the third goal with three minutes left in the final frame.
