The review: What human in 2019 doesn’t love a cute matching set? This one was comfy and stylish with a fun pop of neon. I decided to put this bad boy through two tests: a sorta-chill 50-minute Pilates class and a crushing 45-minute Spin sesh. At first, I was a bit concerned about the pale-pink coloring—would it make me look naked? It would def show all my sweat after cardio, right? But I was pleasantly surprised that even after I stumbled off the Spin bike, you couldn’t see a thing. *smirk emoji*

I was also worried about chest support. Just looking at the racerback crop top, I was like, Yeah, that thing is def not going to hold me in. But in the name of #Journalism, I tried it out sans additional sports bra and was shocked (truly!) that it kept my D-size chest in place the whole time. A dream, really.

While I loved the cut and feel of the set (so soft! high-waisted leggings forever!), I was not super down with the weight of the material. The heathered fabric is made of nylon, polyester, and spandex, but it’s thick and heavy and sorta made me feel like I was in a sauna—NBD in Pilates but uncomfortable while Spinning.

The bottom line: I was very down with the compression aspect of the ’fit (it kept everything super contained), but if you’re looking for a more breathable fabric, this ain’t it. It is, however, ideal for a low-key stretchy workout, where you wanna look cayyyuuute.

The review: This piece is a conversation starter. The polyester and spandex is comfy, but its wild pattern will make you stick out like a highlighter. To set the scene, I work out in my corporate gym where nearly everyone wears the same gray and black athletic clothes provided by the facility. So this jumpsuit made me feel like I was screaming the entire time.

The fabric is completely opaque, so you don’t have to worry about your black thong stealing the spotlight while you’re in downward dog. It is stretchy but isn’t very breathable. By the end of my strength workout, puddles of sweat collected in the triangle between my boobs, the bra-strap area of my back, and (weirdly) my ankles. If sweat can’t escape, it *will* find other places to hang out!

Speaking of bras, I free-boobed my workout in this jumpsuit because I didn’t feel like I could fit a supportive sports bra underneath. Although I have the chest of a prepubescent boy, I still felt like I could have used more security on the top. Additionally, I nearly encountered two nip slips.

The bottom line: This jumpsuit will make you look and feel ~fuay~ when it hugs your booty in all the right places and provides expert compression all over. Where some yoga pants tend to suffocate my wide hips, this jumpsuit made them feel right at home.

I recommend wearing this leopard bb during an outdoor workout, a hike in the fall (it promises UV protection), or while you’re running errands with, like, a jean jacket and a baseball hat. It’s definitely not great for an intense workout because you will overheat.

SHOP NOW The Seamless Fit SportsBra, $39, and The Mesh 7/8 Legging, $99

The review: I tested my Good American outfit while doing a back and shoulders strength-training circuit workout from the Sweat App. I chose this kind of workout because the bra I tested had thin straps, and I felt like it probably wouldn’t be fair to try it on a run or another high-intensity sweat sesh. I have to say, though, this bra was one of the most supportive spaghetti-strap designs I’ve ever worn. There’s an inner layer of stretchy mesh stuff going on that really keeps everything in place, even while doing jumping jacks and mountain climbers. I wouldn’t suggest wearing it for a long run, but it’ll do in a pinch for most activities.

The leggings were so bright and awesome—I loved how they looked and supported my mid-section. They also Did. Not. Budge. throughout the entire workout, even though I was bending around in all sorts of ways—that’s pretty impressive. With many other leggings, I feel like I have to hike them up throughout a workout, but I didn’t need to do that at all with these.

My biggest complaint: The leggings were pretty sheer. I could see the tag with wash instructions through the back and felt like I was only able to wear skin-colored underwear beneath them. I did my workout at home, so this wasn’t a real problem, but it is unfortunate because I don’t think I’d wear them out to the gym. (And they’re so cute, I wish I could!)

The bottom line: Overall, I was happy with the performance of both pieces minus the opacity of the leggings.

SHOP NOW The Boy Short, $69, and The Power Mesh Sports Bra, $69

The review: These sparkly, charcoal biker shorts look so cute on, and the bra had mesh panels in the middle of the chest and on the sides that felt very breezy and were kinda sexy. I could literally wear it as a top (and I definitely will) with a pair of distressed jeans and a heel. There were absolutely people checking me out in the gym because those shorts had my booty poppin’! I know because I kept staring at it in the mirror myself.

Although it looked super stylish, it felt like normal workout gear (thanks to the poly-spandex material), so it was very comfortable to move in. Both the shorts and the bra had some compression, which kept everything that I wanted to stay in place in place, if you know what I mean.

On the treadmill, my boobs were secure in the bra and didn’t bounce at all. The shorts did ride up a little as I ran. That was a little annoying, but it’s something that happens with most athletic shorts for me.

As I stretched out, the fabric was flexible and moved with my body, which is awesome because I feel like that is the most important part of my workout.

The bottom line: Besides the minor shorts issue, I loved this look! It was really fun, flattering, and very flexible.
