After being married to Jwan Yosef for six years, Ricky Martin announced that they were divorcing in June 2023 with a joint statement explaining that they would remain friends and co-parents of their children. But now that Martin is a newly-single man, many fans have been speculating about who will be his next public beau. And, well, let’s just say that the vetting process seems to have already begun.
Recently, Martin has been making headlines for going on a following spree of Brazilian studs on Instagram. The Puerto Rican popstar has suddenly started to follow several famous Brazilian hunks on Instagram – from actors to models to musicians to athletes to influencers.
Major pop culture outlets in Brazil like Extra, Contigo!, Terra, Quem have been publishing stories on Martin’s following spree. “The fact of the matter is that the singer is single and has been following various hot men on social media,” the Extra report reads. “He is following many Brazilian heartthrobs, both gay and straight.”
Martin’s following spree included out LGBTQ+ celebs like Pedro Sampaio, Amaury Lorenzo, Marcos Pitombo, and Reynaldo Gianecchini. With that said, the popstar also followed other famous Brazilian guys who, by all means, publicly identify as straight. But hey, it doesn’t hurt to follow them, keep an eye out for their thirst traps, and press that occasional “like” button, does it?
