Veteran broadcasters Dan Needles and Terry Sater retire from WISN-TV (Channel 12)
WISN-TV (Channel 12) lost two longtime on-air personalities to retirement over the weekend.
Sports Director Dan Needles, who joined the Milwaukee ABC affiliate in 1990 and has been sports director at the station since 1998, filed his last sports report March 4. His retirement, which had been announced in December, was feted all week on the station, and capped by a half-hour tribute that aired March 5.

Also retiring March 4 was reporter-anchor Terry Sater, who's been at Channel 12 since 2005. A Minnesota native who grew up in Wisconsin, his departure was a little quieter than Needles', although the station shared a video tribute to him during newscasts on his final day at the station.
Channel 12 colleagues posted tributes to both veteran broadcasters all weekend.
