Veteran entrepreneurs to get reimbursement for energy costs

According to the fund, it is currently possible to receive state compensation for purchases of the following types:

·       generators and batteries;

·       laptops;

·       coffee machines;

·       other goods or equipment for conducting business.

“Veterans, their families, as well as families of deceased defenders can receive compensation for businesses in the amount of up to UAH 20,000,” said UVF Director Natalia Kalmykova.

“These sums for operational expenses help keep small businesses afloat.”

Spouses of veterans (those who have an ID card of a combatant), their parents, children, as well as families of deceased defenders can apply for the reimbursement.

The fund stressed that it is important for the business to be officially registered as an individual entrepreneur or self-employed person.

The reimbursement program is valid for as long as martial law remains in effect.

In total, 12,789 individual entrepreneurs who have a combatant status, or are close relatives of veterans, are registered in Ukraine.

“Among such entrepreneurs, 50.4% are involved in retail,” the fund said.

“Another 30.2% carry out activities related to wholesale trade, followed by those who are engaged in real estate operations.”
