Veteran owned business begins to boom in Raleigh County

SHADY SPRING, WV (WVNS) — Bob’s Store and Cafe opened it’s doors in Shady Spring in 2024 and business is beginning to boom.

Bob’s is a veteran owned business that prides itself on serving all American-made products to it’s customers. It is run in collaboration with Band of Brothers Farm in Odd, West Virginia. Owner, Kyle Lindsey said he and his business partner came up with the idea for the business when they were serving back in the Army.

We came down here, he bought the farm and we started a retail site that did well and eventually worked our way into a store.

The local business gets their farm fresh burgers from the Cook Brother’s Meat & Fencing Company in Cool Ridge. They carry a variety of food items, apparel, and more. Lindsey told 59News they have big plans for the future.

What would you do with over 500 million dollars?

From this point on, we’ll be trying to become one of the larger retailers in American-made products in the country. Right now we’re shooting to be, if not one of the only all American-made stores in the south.
