Veterans Day 2020: What's Open, Closed In Bethesda
BETHESDA, MD — This year's Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11, and marks 102 years since the unofficial end of World War I.
Here's a list of what's open and closed in Bethesda:
County offices – Closed.
State offices and courts – Closed.
Libraries – Closed.
Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) – Stores open noon - 7 p.m.
Recreation – Indoor aquatics facilities open. Recreation centers, senior centers and administrative offices closed.
Montgomery Parks - Facilities that will be open to the public include:
Brookside Gardens (Gardens open sunrise-sunset, Visitor Center open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Little Bennett Campgrounds
South Germantown Driving Range
Cabin John Ice Rink and Wheaton Ice Arena (open for individual athletic training only)
Wheaton Indoor Tennis, outdoor tennis and pickleball courts
250 miles of natural surface and hard surface trails
Dog Parks
Picnic Shelters (may require permit)
Playgrounds

Ride On Flex – Not in operation due to health crisis.

MARC Train and Commuter Bus – Information available at mta.maryland.gov.
TRiPS Commuter Store at Silver Spring Transit Center – Closed.
TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store – Not in operation due to health crisis.
Parking at Montgomery County public garages, lots, and curbside meters - Free.
County-provided refuse/recycling pickup – Collections will slide one day. Last collections of the week will be on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station – Open.
County-operated COVID-19 - Testing will expand to 54 clinics, schedule to come.
