Veterans Day 2021: Where to find an event to honor the military in South Florida

Veterans Day is Nov. 11. South Florida events include readings, presentations, picnics and parades. Some events and venues ask attendees not to bring food and coolers. Also, organizers for many in-person. events request that attendees follow physical distancing and other CDC protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miami Beach. Veterans Day Celebration, 11:11 a.m., Veterans Day parade along Ocean Drive beginning at Fifth Street. Featuring veteran and military groups, marching bands and community organizations. At noon, the festivities move to Lummus Park as the All Veteran Parachute Team takes to the skies over South Beach for a demonstration. The event continues with a family picnic in Lummus Park and a wreath-laying ceremony.
