Veterans Day 2022: Businesses offering free food, drinks and services for those who served

Several area businesses are saying “thank you” this Veterans Day to those who served our country in the military.

York County is sponsoring a Veterans Day celebration and breakfast at Memorial Hall West of the York Expo Center at 8 a.m. Sat., Nov. 12. A program follows at 8:30 a.m. The breakfast is free for veterans.

The following offers are only good on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, 2021.

7-Eleven: Free coffee or Big Gulp.

Applebee’s: Free meal from a limited menu for veterans and active-duty military.

Bob Evans: Free select menu items to veterans and active-duty military.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Free order of boneless wings and a side of fries for veterans and active-duty military.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store: Free dessert with a meal for all veterans.

Denny’s: Free Build-Your-Own Grand Slam meal from 5 a.m. to noon for all active, non-active or retired military with ID.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit: Free pulled pork sandwich for veterans and active military with valid ID.

Dunkin’ Donuts: Free doughnut.

Fadely’s Auto Masters, York: All military veterans and personnel will receive a free oil, lube and filter and seasonal check for their vehicles from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Snacks and water will be provided.

Friendly’s: Free cheeseburger, side of fries and drink for lunch or dinner.

IHOP: Free red, white and blue pancakes for all veterans and active-duty military from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant: Free sandwich and soft drink for veterans and active-duty military.

Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut and coffee.

Little Caesars Pizza: Free lunch combo from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. for veterans and active-duty military.

Meineke Car Care: Free synthetic-blend oil change for each past and present service member.

Mission BBQ: Free sandwich for veterans and active-duty military.

Outback Steakhouse: Free bloomin’ onion and Coca-Cola products for veterans and active military.

Primanti Bros.: Free “Almost famous” sandwich.

Quaker Steak and Lube: Half off any entrée for all veterans, active duty and reservists.

Red Lobster: Free Walt's favorite shrimp, fries and coleslaw for veterans, active-duty military or reservists with a valid military ID or proof of service.

Red Robin: Free tavern double burger with steak fries for all veterans and active military who are Red Robin Royalty members.

Royer’s Flowers: Free patriot bouquets – red carnation and white carnation tied up in a blue bow – will be available in any of the company’s 16 locations during regular business hours.

Rutter’s: Free coffee, any size, to those in uniform or anyone who presents a valid military ID.

Sheetz: Free half ham and cheese or meatball sub and a regular fountain drink, for veterans and active-duty military, who can also get a free car wash.

Starbucks: Free tall (12-ounce) hot coffee for active-duty military, reservists, veterans and military spouses.

Texas Roadhouse: Meal vouchers will be handed out from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lots of the restaurants located throughout central Pa. This is a drive-through event and proof of service is required.

Wawa: Free coffee for veterans, active duty and family members.

Wendy’s: Free small breakfast combo from 6:30-10:30 a.m. with valid military ID.
