Veterans Day: 29 restaurants around RI say 'thank you for your service' with these deals

From free coffee to food discounts, restaurants and breweries are offering thanks to active and retired military for Veterans Day.
The Journal's call for the Nov. 11 information, revealed some interesting news.
The Coast Guard House
40 Ocean Rd., Narragansett, (401) 789-0700, thecoastguardhouse.com, noted they offer 20% off food for veterans and active military every day, not just Veterans Day.
Blackie's offers 10% off for veterans
280 George Washington Highway, Smithfield, (401) 231-4777, eatatblackies.com, offers 10% off a meal every day for veterans and military.
Grey Sail Brewing is honoring veterans
63 Canal St., Westerly, (401) 212-7592, greysailbrewing.com, will honor veterans and service members at their 10th anniversary celebration on Nov. 11 from noon to 8 p.m. They will get one free beer and 25% off thereafter. A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit Work Vessels for Vets. The event will include food trucks, live music and giveaways and the release of a new anniversary beer, a dry-hopped imperial pilsner.
Be prepared to show a valid military ID for any of the following offers which only apply to the veteran's food or drink.
Wickford on the Water

Tumblesalts Cafe offers big discount for veterans
