For veterans: Special event to help veterans get assistance with VA benefits

The Veterans Administration is hosting a three-day virtual special event at the end of January to help Indiana veterans get help with benefits and services.

The Veterans Experience Action Center Event will allow veterans or their family members to connect with a county veterans service officer sometime from Tuesday, Jan. 25, to Thursday, Jan. 27. The event is in coordination with the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs and county veterans service officers (one for each county) across the state.

Veterans can get assistance with VA claims, VA and Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and VA health care eligibility. Community referrals can be made for other veteran needs. Information can be provided on education, employment and family or caregiver benefits and services.

To participate in this event, veterans and family members will need to register online at www.va.gov/veac to receive an appointment time for one-on-one personal assistance.
