Vicky McClure shares exciting filming update on new psychological thriller

Line of Duty and Broadchurch actress Vicky McClure's new thriller Insomnia has received an exciting filming update, as production has officially wrapped.

"Wrapped," she wrote with some clapperboard emojis. "Just spent the last 3 months with the kindest, most collaborative & talented crew and cast.
"This one was special. Now sleep x"

The six-part series follows Emma as she approaches her 40th birthday and stops sleeping, something that happened to her mother before she suffered a violent psychotic breakdown on the night of her birthday.
The only way to prevent tragedy striking again is for her to dig deep into her own painful past.
McClure, who is also producing the series, previously said: "Myself and BYO Films are really excited to be working alongside Left Bank on Insomnia.

"It’s a very different role for me - Sarah Pinborough has written such an exciting script. We have a fantastic cast, crew and production team all set for a very fulfilling few months ahead."
We don't know when next year the show is expected, but hopefully, it won't be too long before we get the first official teaser.
It's been a good year for McClure on a personal level as well, as she married her partner Jonny Owen back in August, with her Line of Duty co-stars Adrian Dunbar and Martin Compston in attendance.
Insomnia will stream on Paramount+ in 2024. Line of Duty series 1-6 is available to stream now on iPlayer.
