Victoria/Tomas RTW Fall 2021
Here was the first fall collection for Victoria/Tomas since the label took the reversible route, pledging to make only clothing that can be worn inside or out, offering two different looks for the cost — including environmental — of one. Last season, they showed what they can do for warmer weather — poplin shirts, silky shorts and dresses, khaki jackets. But how about when things get chilly? Victoria Feldman and Tomas Berzins built on their concept considerably, taking advantage of the cooler season to bulk up looks, push deeper into outerwear and broaden materials.
The look: Smart and modern; street savvy with a gender-fluid bent.

Quote of note: “It’s more clean, minimalist, soft…we called this collection ‘cozy-ristic,’ like cozy and futuristic,” Feldman said.
“We thought for winter we can play a little bit with different textures and materials because the clothes can be a little bit warmer, and we used the eco-leather a lot — different weights, different shininess, some of them have a velour effect,” Berzins said.
Key pieces: Textured pieces stood out strongly. A shirt and trousers ensemble printed with a blown up knitwear pattern was striking, while boxy suit jackets with crinkled tulle applied on one side — real texture, this time — cinched at the waist or not carried a smart elegance. The tulle was creased in a navy blue while a creamy ivory was overlaid with the same crinkly tulle, but in black. A brown suit jacket was embellished with workwear pockets that were jazzed up with a chevron patter in bright orange hues — updated skater flames.
Takeaway: The design duo has taken a bold step with their reversible pledge — and, two seasons in, show no signs of shirking from the task.
