Victorian-style apartments planned in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE – Two Victorian-style apartment buildings are planned for the Sewaren section of the township.

The Arches at Sewaren LLC is seeking use and bulk variances and minor site plan approval from the township Zoning Board of Adjustment to build two, two-story apartment buildings in the area of 551, 555 and 561 West Ave.

The application is scheduled to be heard 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Woodbridge Municipal Building, 1 Main St.

The project calls for a total of 28 apartments in a medium density, single-family residential zone on a site measuring 67,752 square feet, according to legal documents.

The use variance is being sought to permit multi-family dwellings in the medium density residential zone where they are not permitted. Density relief is being sought to build 28 apartments on 67,752 square feet.

Variances also are being sought for side yard setback and building coverage, according to the documents.
