Victorville man arrested on suspicion of having sex with a child
A Victorville man was arrested on suspicion of molesting a young girl, according to authorities, who believe there may be additional victims.
Enrique Luis Hernandez, 27, remained at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday with bail set at $500,000, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Hernandez appeared Tuesday in Victorville Superior Court, where he pleaded not guilty to several charges, including sexual intercourse/sodomy with a child, sexual penetration with a foreign object and aggravated assault of a minor, court records show.
Hernandez is due back in court on Wednesday.
The Victorville Sheriff’s Station reported an investigation was launched on Dec. 19 into allegations of sexual molestation involving Hernandez and a minor girl.
Investigators later found evidence that Hernandez allegedly performed sexual acts on the victim, along with one other victim, sheriff’s officials said.
On Dec. 23, Hernandez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, the sheriff’s report stated.
