Deputies arrested a 55-year-old Victorville man on suspicion of threatening another man with airsoft guns.

The Victorville Sheriff’s Station reported that at 9:06 p.m. on Friday, deputies were dispatched to a man brandishing firearms at a residence in the 13000 block of Sunchief Court.

The area is located between Luna and Dos Palmas roads, and east of Topaz Road.

Upon arrival, deputies located and detained the suspect, Aristotle Abadilla.

Based on victim and witness statements, deputies determined that Abadilla threatened the victim with what deputies identified as airsoft guns, sheriff’s officials said.

Airsoft guns are replica firearms used for paintball-style gaming, target practice, firearms training and as movie props. The guns usually fire non-lethal pellets via gas, spring, or electrical systems.

Abadilla was arrested for making criminal threats and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, with bail set at $50,000.

He is scheduled to appear on Tuesday in Victorville Superior Court.

Anyone with information about the investigation is asked by the Sheriff’s Department to contact the Victorville Sheriff’s Station at 760=241-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at 760-956-5001.
