Homicide officials are searching for a suspect who fatally shot a Victorville man in the mountain community of Fawnskin near Big Bear Lake.

Big Bear Sheriff’s Station deputies, at approximately 2:57 a.m. on Sunday, responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of Bruin Trail.

Upon arrival, deputies located a man, later identified as 25-year-old Richard Clinton Robinson, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medical aid was rendered to Robinson, who was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased despite lifesaving measures.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division - Homicide Detail responded and conducted the investigation.

The identity of the shooting suspect or suspects is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and further information will be released when available, sheriff’s officials said.
