Victory Brinker joins Latshaw Pops for holiday show at The Palace

Dec. 12—"America's Got Talent" veteran Victory Brinker will reunite with the Latshaw Pops Orchestra for "The Sounds of Christmas," set for 3 p.m. Sunday at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg.

The precocious opera singer, now 10, made her first appearance in the orchestra's annual holiday concert in 2021.

"Our orchestra was a very nice fit with Victory, and the audience enjoyed it very much," said producer Gary Latshaw of Latshaw Productions.

Brinker will perform several numbers, including "The Prayer," a song first recorded by Celine Dion and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli for the 1998 movie "Quest for Camelot."

Since her run to the Season 16 "AGT" finals in September 2021, the young Unity resident has been busy performing at private events, galas and awards ceremonies, said her mother, Christine Brinker. In November 2021, she released a four-song Christmas EP.

"She loves training and has been working on other genres of music, acting and dance," Brinker said, adding that Victory recently signed with Los Angeles and New York City-based A3 Artists Agency.

The evening will include solo and ensemble renditions of traditional holiday music, including medleys of carols, seasonal standards and gospel songs, along with Christmas stories, audience participation, dance numbers and a visit from a legendary figure in a red suit.

"Santa makes an appearance during 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,' and he's prone to doing a little dancing too," Latshaw said.

In addition to Brinker, vocalists featured with the Pops will be Frank Czuri, former longtime lead singer with Pure Gold, and Lindsay Fitzpatrick, who has performed with Pittsburgh's The Fabulous Gemtones and around the country at theme parks, private events and cruise ships.

The emcee for the evening will be Mark Statler.

"He has a long history of performing with the Wheeling Jamboree, so he's well-known from that stage," Latshaw said. "He has a crossover voice with a country flair and persona."

Latshaw Pops has been performing a variety Christmas shows for more than 30 years. The 22-piece orchestra is conducted by Bruce Lauffer.

"The Sounds of Christmas" has a format reminiscent of an old-time television variety show, "perhaps minus the sketch comedy," Latshaw said.

Tickets are $25-$35, available by calling 724-836-8000 or online at thepalacetheatre.org.
