VIDEO: Brooklyn cell phone store clerk tackled to ground, robbed

A Brooklyn cell phone store clerk was tackled to the ground and robbed by a crook who pretended he wanted to make a purchase, police said Monday.

The 27-year-old victim was behind the counter of the shop on E. 16th St near Kings Highway when the robber walked in at about 11:45 a.m. Sunday, saying he wanted to buy an iPhone and AirPods.

Startling surveillance video releases by the NYPD shows the clerk can be seen holding him at bay when he made a move to come behind the counter. He eventually grappled her to the ground, roughed her up and stole the iPhone and AirPods he had been looking at.

The victim was shaken up but not injured. Her attacker was last seen entering the nearby Kings Highway subway station on the B and Q lines.

Cops are asking the public’s help identifying the robber and tracking him down.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
