VIDEO: Brooklyn jewelry store worker grazed when armed robber opens fire
A Brooklyn jewelry store worker was grazed by a bullet when an armed robber opened fire during a botched holdup, startling video released by the NYPD on Monday shows.
The crook burst into A&M Jewelry on Fifth Ave. near 48th St. in Sunset Park about 1:55 p.m. on Sunday with his gun drawn and gestured toward the worker behind the counter, cops said.
He fired a shot that shattered a display case and hit the worker before running off empty-handed toward 49th St., the video shows.
The 24-year-old worker, grazed in the upper body, was taken by medics to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in stable condition.
The gunman has not been caught.
Cops are asking the public’s’ help identifying him and tracking him down.
