Video of monkey charging at Oklahoma man before attack on neighbor goes viral

An Ardmore man's video of a loose monkey who later attacked a woman in neighboring Dickson has gone viral on TikTok. Randal Flinn's footage shows the monkey on his front porch.

"What's a monkey doing in Oklahoma?" Flinn is heard asking aloud on the other side of a screen door.

Flinn then opens his door as the monkey heads toward a dog in his yard, and then quickly shuts the door as the animal charges toward him.

Flinn's TikTok account features the video as his first share on the social media platform. As of this writing, it has received 2.8 million views in the first two days of being posted.

A second video by Flinn on his TikTok features Flinn's voice behind the camera, showing police at the scene of who he says is a neighbor's home where a woman was allegedly bitten by the monkey.

Brittany Parker told KOKH told KOKH she was attacked by the monkey, saying she suffered injuries to her and face and would surgery to her ear, too.

"Little monkey is in trouble," Flinn says. "You gotta watch your little monkey, gotta be faster than that monkey, boys."

Dickson police responded to the scene, where the monkey was shot and killed by Parker's family members. Police have not identified the animal's owner.

In Oklahoma, it is legal to own a monkey without a special license. Certain primates, like chimpanzees for example, do require special permission from the state as they are endangered animals.
