Video: Robber forces boy, 6, into closet at gunpoint during Brooklyn cell phone store stickup

A shameless stick-up man robbed a Brooklyn cell phone store with a 6-year-old boy inside, forcing the tot and his parents at gunpoint into a closet as he raided a safe, video of the chilling holdup shows.

The gun-toting crook stormed into a Gravesend T-Mobile store on Avenue X at W. 1st St., just five minutes before the store closed at 8 p.m. Thursday, cops said.

“There’s customers all over the store,” said one police source.

The robber had a bag over one hand as he ordered customers and employees to the floor, and when they instead backed away from him, he ordered them into the closet, barking: “Don’t be a hero.”

Video shows the little boy wander over to the robber, apparently unaware of the danger, before his parents reach out to pull him away.

“He’s with his parents. The kid doesn’t even know what’s happening. He’s standing there in awe,” the source said.

A store employee frantically opened a safe to give the gunman what he wanted, police said. The video shows the thief looking into the safe — with what appears to be a silver handgun visible in one hand.

In all, the robber made off with about 100 cell phones before running off. None of the employees or customers inside were injured.

Cops released video of the robbery Monday, and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
